The Ledgewood PC Wiffle Ball Tournament

TOURNAMENT RULES

  • 6 teams will be in the tournament

  • Tournament is double elimination

  • All games are 4 innings long

    • If games are tied after 4 innings, then a swing off will determine the winner

    • Each team will select a player and whoever hits the most home runs in 5 swings wins the game

    • If the championship game is tied after 4 innings there will be extra innings

      • Maximum of 3 extra innings

      • If still no winner after 3 extra innings, then a swing off will determine the winner

  • Maximum of 6 runs can be scored per inning except for the last inning

  • Outs can be made three ways

    • Three strikes, three foul balls, or a combination of three strikes and fouls

    • Balls Caught in the air

    • Ground balls caught while the ball is in motion in fair play

  • No base running

  • No walks

  • No called strikes

  • No bunting

  • 4 types of hits

    • Singles

    • Doubles

    • Triples

    • Home Runs

  • Most importantly…HAVE FUN!!!!!!

HOME RUN DERBY RULES

  • Three Round Home Run Derby

  • 1st Round

    • Everybody who buys a home run derby ticket is eligible

    • Every contestant gets 60 seconds to hit as many home runs as possible

    • If a tie breaker is necessary there will be a 5 pitch swing off

  • 2nd Round

    • Top 10 contestants with the highest home run total will hit

    • Each contestant will get 60 seconds to hit as many home runs as possible

    • If a tie breaker is necessary there will be a 5 pitch swing off

  • 3rd Round

    • The 2 contestants with the highest total of home runs from round 2 will hit

    • Each Contestant will get 2 minutes to hit as many home runs as possible

    • If there is a tie we will have a 5 pitch swing off

    • The contestant with the highest total in the 3rd round will be the winner

  • Winner receives a prize

  • Most importantly…HAVE FUN!!!
